Schools partnering in Equity Associates network will need to assign a school staff member to serve as the Equity Associates Liaison. The school’s Equity Associates Liaison will support the coordination of the service delivery of tier-1 and tier-2 interventions and help students access Equity Associates’ HIPAA secure online platform at their assigned times. The school’s Equity Associates Liaison will also serve on Equity Associates’ Collaborative Care Team. This staff member is often the school counselor but can be any school staff member willing to take on this responsibility. It is also helpful if this staff member is a member of the school’s MTSS team, however this again is not essential if not feasible for the school.
Schools partnering in Equity Associates network should have access to WiFi on each device used by students participating in tier-2 and tier-3 intervention and each student participating in intervention will need a device (computer or iPad) in order to join their assigned intervention through Equity Associates’ HIPAA secure online platform.
If a school is unable to support the associated technology and WiFi needed for partnership in Equity Associates’ network, Equity Associates will work with the school to secure both the necessary technology and WiFi so that no student or school go without access to high-quality mental health intervention. Schools will also need to provide a quiet and confidential space for students to access their intervention during school hours.
